About Do Good Boutique

Welcome to Do Good Boutique!

Renee Webb and Allison Watters opened the doors of Do Good Boutique in November 2015. The two great friends were inspired to open the boutique when the church where they worship considered opening a coffee shop and retail space to serve as a non-traditional introduction to Christianity.

Renee and Allison sought to represent items and lines that were considered Do Good products and brands. The merchandise carried in the boutique ranges from products made in the USA, fair trade items, materials manufactured in environmentally friendly ways, woman-owned businesses, goods whose proceeds support women or children in underserved areas, small artisans around the world, and more. As Do Good continues to grow, the number of more commodities and labels available in the shop continue to grow, too! While everything in the shop doesn't fit into the above categories, Do Good continues to seek out companies who share a vision to Do Good.

For two ladies who had zero retail experience, Renee and Allison took a huge leap of faith and added a ton of elbow grease to create the brick and mortar store that Do Good is today. Walking (or diving head first) into uncharted waters was an incredible learning experience for the friends and business partners. To this day, Renee and Allison are forever grateful for the lessons learned through long hours and (mostly fun) sweat equity!

Now, let's fast forward to today and Renee’s message to the amazing Do Good Community:

I am now the sole owner of the shop. Don’t worry! Allison and I are still the dearest of friends! As life goes, Allison needed to take a thing or two off of her plate and left the business in January 2020. After our successful (and sometimes rocky) five-year climb, I wanted to continue on with Do Good Boutique. My biggest goal was to create an on-line version of the shop. And now, here we are! Do good launched its e-commerce division in June 2021. Retail is hard work - retail AND e-commerce are hard, hard work. I truly enjoy the challenge of growing and changing - both personally and professionally, and Do Good gives me those gifts.

My greatest joy as a small business owner is hearing new customers tell me I carry unique merchandise. I also love when existing customers pop in for a visit, share their joys, and give me updates on this quirky journey called life. The most humbling compliment to receive is customers telling me that they feel a sense of peace when they enter through the Do Good doors.

Thank you for being a part of my story. Let’s continue to join together and “Do Good.”

With gratitude,

Renee
